Neighbors share goods and build community at Buy Nothing parking lot swap!

Spring Buy Nothing Sale Busiest Yet

As the buy nothing ethic continues to grow, our spring Buy Nothing parking lot swap felt like our busiest gathering yet. Over 40 people opened their trucks and spread their “no longer needed” items for others to “shop” and take what they can use. Together, we kept lots of stuff from heading to the landfill (always great to care for God’s beautiful creation) and built great community through sharing, caring, and laughter. We look forward to hosting again in the fall!

2026 First Presbyterian Church Scholarships Awarded to Hudson High Grads

On May 13, Pastor Kendra and Deanne were honored to present $1000 First Presbyterian Church scholarships to Annabella Froeschle and Alexis Hudson! We are excited to see how they continue to make the world kinder, more peaceful, and justice-filled through their continuing endeavors. The First Presbyterian Church Scholarships are made possible through the generosity of many in our faith of faith, and beyond. Often contributions to these scholarships are made in celebration of graduates of previous years, or in memory of loved ones who have died and had a particular passion for encouraging and empowering young people. This year, we were humbled to award these scholarships in memory of Terry Felland, Barbara Kenall, and Yvonne McKenzie, who were committed to empowering and encouraging young people throughout their lives in various ways. Congrats to Annabella and Alexis, all of the excellent scholarship applicants, and to all the graduates!

Daybreak Rotary awards Year of Storytelling project a $1500 grant

Multiple Grants Received to Support Art of Storytelling Collaboration

We are so thankful for grant support from the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area and the Hudson Daybreak Rotary to help make possible our vision of bringing a year of storytelling workshops and story slams to the Hudson area! Following the success of our pilot project last fall in which we saw the amazing power of story to bring neighbors together in authentic community around our shared humanity, we have been visioning and dreaming along with the Hudson Area Library and the Phipps Center for the Arts about how to bring more storytelling to the community to continue building community! We are excited that our vision is coming to fruition thanks to great funders, continuing partnership, and expanding collaboration to include the Hudson Y and the Golden Rule Initiative. We encourage you to SAVE THE DATES now to participate in this FREE series!

New Class of Officers Ordained and Installed

On May 17, it was a joy (as it always is) to ordain and install our new class of officers, those whom God is calling to lead us as a family of faith in the years ahead! We look forward to the many ways they will guide us in sharing God’s love with one another and the wider community and in growing in our faith through our worship, learning, service and fellowship. It’s amazing to see the ways God continues to pour out the Spirit, lifting up just the leaders we need at just the time they are needed!
