Our Bell Choir has a multi-decade history of making a joyful noise in worship. People of all ages and abilities come together to create beautiful music using chimes and handbells. This unique ensemble offers a joyful way for congregants to participate in worship services while fostering a sense of community and creative expression. The unique visual and auditory experience of the bell choir sharing music is a deep blessing to the entire church family.
The choir meets weekly to rehearse. Each participant is assigned specific bells or chimes, working together to create harmonious melodies. The instruments’ gentle tones blend seamlessly, producing a celestial sound that enhances the spiritual atmosphere during services. Learning to play handbells and chimes requires teamwork and coordination. Each member is responsible for their notes, and the group must synchronize their movements to achieve the desired musical effect. This collaborative effort builds strong bonds among choir members, as they support and encourage one another in their musical journey.
