COVID-19 Precautions Info & Listening Session
As a family of faith, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we have sought to follow Christ’s example of placing the needs of the most vulnerable first. How we have done this has shifted over time, given the ebbs and flows of the pandemic and the ever-advancing scientific and medical knowledge of the disease.
Praise God that vaccines are now widely available for all ages 6 months+ (with vaccination for the youngest currently in process), with boosters available and recommended for those 5 and older.
At the same time, even with vaccines and boosters, those who are immunocompromised still bear a much greater risk of severe disease and outcomes, if they become infected with COVID-19.
We also know that people have varied levels of weariness with pandemic precautions, varied needs as regards the comfort provided by in-person connections, and varied comfort levels when it comes to risk-tolerance related to possible exposures to COVID-19.
Therefore, the Session, resourced by the Pandemic Response Task Force, is seeking feedback from the First Pres family.
All are welcome to voice your thoughts about how we can faithfully move forward amid the continuing pandemic at a Town Hall Forum on Sunday, July 24, 2022, following worship (which will be held in the sanctuary and on Zoom, simultaneously, using the same Zoom link as worship).
All are also welcome to share feedback in this brief survey.
