Generosity & Personal Finances After the CARES Act

The CARES Act made changes to tax laws that help us be generous no matter your age! Come learn more about these changes, how they affect you and your retirement, and how they can help us to be generous no matter our age!

Sunday, February 7, at 10:40am, on Zoom, (same Zoom meeting as worship), join Thrivent professionals Scott DeGraff and Kevin Cunniff to learn about the following:

  • How do changes in tax law as part of the CARES affect me and my retirement? How do the changes affect charitable distributions and how it can impact my church?
  • RMD’s- What are Required Minimum Distributions and how are these affected now and why should I be aware of these in retirement as well as before retirement?
  • QCD’s- What are Qualified Charitable Distributions and how does QCD affect my taxes and help the church?
  • How do changes affect my own 401k and access to that money?
  • How has the CARES Act impacted the limit on charitable donations? And how are chartable donations deducted from your taxes at all ages? Is there a limit? Who can you give to?
