Growing Legacy Campaign Info & Social Gathering (Option A)

All are welcome to share in social time with our family of faith and learn more about the Growing Legacy special giving campaign. We’ll gather from 7-8pm at the Gin Home (171 Riverview Acres Road Hudson, WI 54016).

If you are unavailable this evening, a second option for gathering will be Tuesday, October 29, 7-8pm at the church.

A brief intro to the Growing Legacy campaign…

Since 1855, First Presbyterian Church has shared God’s love and grown in faith through worship, education, and service in the community. Roughly 20 years ago, the faithful of First Presbyterian Church, including many folks who are still part of our family of faith, did a bold thing as the congregation celebrated its 150th anniversary. They gave thanks for the vital ministry and leadership the congregation had offered in the community from the corner of 3rd & Orange Streets for fifteen decades, and they came together to build and move to our current home.

Our fully-accessible building and grounds “up on the hill” has provided space to continue our faithful Christian witness in the community and launch new ministry partnerships and opportunities, including partnerships with Bridge for Community Life and St. Croix County Public Health, the addition of the labyrinth and Give It Away Garden, and more!

As we look to the future, the “Growing Legacy” special giving campaign will help us celebrate the wonderful legacy of those past and present, and strengthen our commitment to future generations. The Growing Legacy campaign will ensure that our church continues to be a vital, thriving, supportive, and impactful presence in the community, capable of meeting both current and future needs amid the ever-changing dynamics of our world.

To help grow our legacy, monies from this campaign will be used to:

  • Fund crucial capital expenses, ensuring our facilities remain a safe, accessible, and welcoming worship and gathering space for our family of faith and the broader community. Campaign dollars for capital expenses will be used to pay off the loan incurred to repair corroding pipes in the fire suppression system and to replace our HVAC units, all of which are past their average life-expectancy.
  • Invest in the expansion of our ministries and community collaborations to strengthen community bonds and drive spiritual and membership growth, offering us diverse opportunities to address pressing community needs and to connect with and welcome into our church family new friends seeking a caring, inclusive, intergenerational, creative, and collaborative church home.
