Let’s Talk Internet! Community Listening Session

In March of 2020 many functions of our daily life had to shift almost overnight: crucial connections to church, school, work, medical appointments, banking, entertainment, and loved ones could no longer be done in person.

Now three years on, many of these connections remain online. Yet, there are barriers to access: slow internet speeds, cost of internet service or devices, internet security, or just understanding the multitude of activities available.

We want to hear from you! Please join in conversation on Wednesday, August 9, 6:00pm, at First Presbyterian Church, 1901 Vine Street, Hudson, WI, to share about your experience in internet access and use! All are welcome. But we are particularly seeking people in the following demographics to share their experiences and perspectives:

+ Households with incomes below 150% poverty
+ Aging individuals, 60 years of age or older
+ Individuals with a language barrier, including ELL and low levels of literacy.
+ Individuals who primarily reside in a rural area

Participants will receive a $25 gift card as a thank you for your time and insights!

Refreshments and childcare will be provided.

This event is hosted through collaboration with the Wisconsin Council of Churches and United Way of Wisconsin.
