Mud Kitchen Dedication

In summer 2023, on our intergenerational service trip to Hastings, Nebraska, we encountered a wonderful mud kitchen at the community garden at Hastings Middle School. The idea inspired our service team, and over the past year, members of that service team have been working with others in our family of faith to envision, plan, and design a mud kitchen for our community garden (the Give It Away Garden, where fresh produce is grown to share with neighbors through the Hudson Food Cupboard, WIC program, and more.

All are welcome on Sunday, August 25, following worship as we dedicate our own mud kitchen to the joy of all children and in hopes that it will provide a wonderful space for families to share in connection with nature right in our very neighborhood.
