Music & Arts
First Presbyterian believes whole-heartedly that music and art is an offering to God and is committed to sharing a diverse range of musical and artistic offerings in our worship and life together. There are many opportunities within the music and arts ministry for all to be involved.
Contact Director of Music and Liturgical Arts Jody Branson with questions about our music and arts ministries or if you’d like to get involved!
Sanctuary Choir
Sanctuary Choir practices on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. and sings three Sunday per month, September through May. The choir is open to all who love to sing. It is helpful if you can read music, but not necessary.
Bell Choir
Bell Choir practices on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. and plays once per month, September through May. Prior experience with hand bells and the ability to read music is not required, but helpful.
Special music
Special music is provided by individuals and ensembles throughout the year. Instrumentalists and vocalists of all ages are invited to share their gifts as desired.
Liturgical art displays
Liturgical art displays in the sanctuary rotate on a weekly or seasonal basis, depending on worship themes.
Art installations
Art installations are displayed in our main entry hallway on a rotating basis.
Currently, we are hosting a series of paintings by First Pres member Richard Ward, which depict the Lenten journey and events of Holy Week.
